Phoenix Voyages support to local charity events
Phoenix Voyages has recently supported the “Hand in Hand†Quang Binh Humanitarian Mission organized by the Family Medical Practice, whose team of doctors and nurses went on a 5-day mission to 7 communes in Minh Hoa, the poorest district in Quang Binh province. The total of 5,500 adults and children were examined and treated by the medical team and medications worth USD 8,000 were provided as well as 30 tons of rice, 3 tons of salt and 10 ton-worth of donated goods such as linens, toiletries, towels, blankets, clothing and toys.
Phoenix Voyages likewise supported “Operations Smile†and “Handicapped Internationalâ€, the charity events organized by different communities in Vietnam, whereby Phoenix Voyages donated more than USD 4,000 to the organizations.
Since 1989, Operation Smile Vietnam has been working to transform the future of thousands of children whose day-to-day experience was to be shunned, feared, ridiculed and isolated because of their deformities. Their mission is to provide free surgeries for children with deformities as well as medical development programs. Today more than 15,000 children are in need of medical surgery in Vietnam. For only 75 USD, you can help a child to turn and face the world with a smile!
On the other hand, the Handicap International Vietnam supports people in situations of disability, whatever may be the cause and the environment underlying those situations.
They are involved in different projects in Vietnam such as helping disabled persons, who had been the young casualties from traffic or building accidents.
Phoenix Voyages is also going to extend its cooperation to these charitable institutions, which are planning to broaden their horizon in Cambodia, where a lot of people are in need of such medical care. Should you wish to support these organizations or any other non governmental organizations in one of the countries we cover, please contact us at nathalie@phoenixvoyages.com and we will provide you with all the required details.
