Phoenix Voyages Group makes the headlines at ITB Berlin after the announce of the forthcoming launching of "L'Amant".
Subsidiary of Phoenix Voyages Group, the company Phoenix Cruises made the headlines during ITB announcing the coming lauching of "L'Amant" in July 2009.

L'Amant is a new cruising vessel of 39 m long and 7m30 wide inspired by the classic 1930's style.
The vessel of 3 decks can accommodate up to 24 passengers in its 12 spacious and bright cabins spread on 2 levels.
She offers a large restaurant, a bar and a sundeck to enjoy fully the cruise.
L'Amant combines traditional boat-building with modern comfort.

Danang Committee decided to hold International fireworks competition every year to celebrate the liberty Day of Danang on March 29, 1975. This year, this event will take place on March 27 and 28.

HOTEL UPDATES

New hotel soon in Putao
Htoo Trading has started developing ecotourism in Putao region, in Kachin State, northern Myanmar.
They will open a new hotel at Mulashidi village of 40 bungalow type rooms. The hotel is scheduled to open in October 2009.

Annual closing of Sandoway Resort in Ngapali
The hotel Sandoway Resort in Ngapali Beach will be closed as every year for the low season from May 1 to September 30, 2009.

Additional flights for Silk Air
Due to the heavy demand, Silk Air plans to operate one additional flight Yangon - Singapore from March 27, 2009. Please find below the scheduling:
- MI511 Yangon /Singapore (Daily)
- MI517 Yangon /Singapore (Daily)
- MI519 Yangon/Singapore (Mon/Fri/Sun, starting from March 27).

2 new cruise products for the Pandaw II
Pandaw II launches now 2 new cruise products for the high season from October to March:
- A 14 nights cruise from Yangon to the Second Defile, the Great gorge 1000 miles upstream from Yangon.
- A 8 nights cruise from Mandalay to Yangon.

Elephant Coach, post colonial style buses available in Myanmar
Three 'Elephant Coaches' are now in operation and will be travelling through Myanmar. The Elephant Coaches are true replicas, painstakingly rebuilt according the original post-colonial Chevrolet passenger bus from the fifties. Once carrying 32 passengers, they have been upgraded to comfortable coaches for 6 to 8 passengers, with handcrafted interiors in teak, furbished with luxurious fabrics and powered by a modern diesel engine.
All coaches are equipped with a galley for cold and hot drinks, air-conditioning and serviced by a 'Coach hostess' and guide.

Bagan
Starting from October one coach of 6-seater will make the sightseeing trip around the vast area of Bagan' historic temple sights.

Yangon & Mawlamyaing
Two coaches (6 & 8 seaters) are based in Yangon and will travel the area in and around the city on day trips.
Two or three day trips are scheduled, for instance Mawlamyaing is planned to be one of the destinations, with stops like the famous Golden Rock.

Burma road
During the high season a multi-day trip along the old BURMA ROAD will also be operated. The journey will connect ancient cities like Muse, Lashio, Pyin Oo Lwin and Mandalay.

From the 1st of April onwards, the daily schedule for dinner and dance show at the Apsara Theatre will change as follows:
- From 7:00 pm: Welcome of the guests and dinner starts
- 8.00 pm: Show starts
- 9.00 pm: End of the Show.
